Recycling

We encourage our residents to recycle.  The recycle bins are for the Town of McLennan residents being charged recycling fees on their utility bill.

Recycle bins are located at the north east end of town, 748 – 5th Avenue N.E. next to the Public Works Shop, and the Bottle Depot.  Please deposit your recyclable items in the appropriate bin.

Mixed Paper

  • Bond, Letter & Copy paper
  • Colored paper
  • Envelopes
  • Phone books
  • Brochures
  • Paperback books
  • Labels
  • Greeting cards.

No shredded paper.

Glass

  • All colors of glass jars
  • Bottles
  • Beverage containers.

Please rinse before depositing and remove lids.

Tin Cans

  • Beverage containers
  • Food containers
  • Jar lids. 

Please remove labels and rinse.

Plastic
Products with the recycle code #1, #2, #4 and #5.

Numbers can be found on the bottom of most plastic containers inside of the recycle triangle logo.  Examples of recyclable plastics:
