Getting Active in McLennan
MOVING AROUND THE ECOFRIENDLY WAY
The McLennan Recreation and Leisure Society set a goal in mind and nothing is getting in their way! To date, they have accomplished putting in and paving walking trails on the lakeshore, creating multiple ponds that encourage our waterfowl to have a closer look at town, tree planting in a beautification effort and now again in 2018 the new covered bridge.
Look at what you can now enjoy in McLennan because of hardworking, environmental conscience volunteers.
Bike racks have been installed in prime locations around McLennan. Come on out and enjoy the beautiful northern weather.
Walking Trails Paved – Sometimes nature does not mind being helped. The McLennan Recreation and Leisure Society has completed paving trails on the lakeshore. What an amazing way to get out and enjoy nature with love ones and pets. The walking trails have been designed to wide enough and smooth enough that all members of families, including those in wheelchairs, can go out and see the great outdoors.

CATCH AND RELEASE TROUT POND
For those visitors and community members that enjoy the sport of fishing, check out the trout pond at the Kimiwan Campground. This catch and release only, stocked brook, brown and rainbow trout pond has a variety of sizes of fish but you will always have a great time reeling them in.
While at the pond fishing, why not stay awhile and enjoy an afternoon picnic. Let the kids play at the on site playground while those who don’t have a rod in their hands, could try a little game of horse shoes.
If you like, stay the night. There is a powered showering and washroom facility. As well as, power stalls and a RV sewer dump on site.
Take time. Enjoy the moments in McLennan.
