License and Identify Your Pet
The Town of McLennan governs that no household shall have more than three animals, of which a maximum of two animals can be dogs. All dog owners within the town are required to purchase a permanent tag for their dog(s). Any dog or cat over six months old must be licensed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO LICENSE YOUR PET
When licensing your pet, the office will require:
- a current picture
- a brief description
- name and contact information of owner
- fee to be paid
PERMANENT LICENSE FEES
Permanent Dog License – Un-neutered |
$40.00 |
UNLICENSED PETS
If pets are not licensed, we have no means of identifying the owners. Any animal with no license is then available for adoption. If an animal remains unclaimed after 72 hours and no adoption has taken place, the animal may be transferred to the Peace River SPCA, Animal Rescue Centre or may be euthanized.
